Bravo to all of our award-winning music students who performed so brilliantly in the Pit Orchestra as part of this year’s musical, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. The lively shows featured two dozen musical selections and the students received well-deserved standing ovations.   The April meeting was early this month due to the spring break and many people missed the date! Sorry!Next month’s Friends of Music meeting will be May 11th. This will be one of the most important meetings of the year, as we discuss changes to the organization and the nominations and selections of new board members for next year. As many of our current board members and key committee people are parents of seniors, we have several key positions opening up, which present exciting opportunities for new people to get involved and for new voices to be heard!   We CAN play an active role in the lives of our children. We need EVERYONE to pitch in where they can so the organization can continue to move forward.  Friends of Music promotes the entire Instrumental Music program, which includes the Marching Band & Color Guard, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, and Jazz Band. Spring TAG DAYS and our Spring clothing drive is next month, so start saving used clothing, shoes, accessories, and soft household items.    Thursday, April 29 – After school bake sale, 2:30 p.m. |
